The Ciù Ciù Collection

In 1917, husband and wife team Natalino and Anna Bartolomei established Ciù Ciù in the hills surrounding Offida, a tiny, medieval village on the east coast of Italy. Today the Ciù Ciù Tenimenti Bartolomei includes five wineries spread across multiple Italian regions. Ciù Ciù wines are steeped in tradition and a deep commitment to the unique territories from which they are born. The Ciù Ciù wines offered by Vino d’Italia are all certified organic and demonstrate the idea that a very good wine can also be a very responsibly produced wine.

Bacchus-Rosso Piceno DOP

From the noble vines of Montepulciano and Sangiovese grown with care on the hills of the Marche, this wine is obtained with a ruby red color with violet hues that change over time to orange. Harmoniously complex, wine-fruity, floral evolving to the ethereal. Dry taste, rightly tannic with a strong body. It expresses its best characteristics between the first and second year of life. In the best years and conditions the aging gives it greater balance and softness. To increase the quality level of the product, the best grapes were selected.

Evoè-Marche IGP Passerina

It is produced from pure Passerina grapes, a very ancient and autochthon vine from Marche. An elegant and well-balanced wine with a straw yellow color and light, golden shades. A pleasant fruity and white flower ’s scent, a good taste to the palate, with a wide range of perceptions and final aromatic tasting persistence.

Gotico-Rosso Piceno Superiore DOP

The search for quality in the vineyard and in the cellar has always been and still is the main goal of our company and this wine testifies to it.
From the vineyards of Montepulciano and Sangiovese, more suitable and better exposed, located on the hilly belt sloping down from Ascoli Piceno towards the Adriatic sea, this wine of intense ruby red color, with just ripe purple reflections, originates from which maturation, optimal after the third year, it gives vivacity, orange reflections and velvety softness. Ample, fruity and floral, elegantly ethereal when ripe; savory and warm, with a notable body and a soft persistent taste.

Merlettaie-Offida DOCG Pecorino

The lace makers of Offida weave threads with quick and precise gestures, the last witnesses of an ancient and precious art whose origin is lost in memory and over the years ... thus the origin of Pecorino, a noble Italic vine, austere and powerful, relegated for decades on barren and steep mountain slopes of the Piceno Apennines. Rediscovered today by the passion of a few winemakers, rare and precious, able, even over the years, to release intense personality evoking ethereal and persistent sensations. Personality and power enhanced by the fermentation in noble woods of this product, an example of historical memory and new heroic wisdom.

Oppîdum-Marche IGT Rosso

A large part of the quality of this wine depends on the variety, weather and the soil. The natural ecosystem in which the vines are grown, above all the “terroir” (microclimate, soil and subsoil) gives the wine its character and quality. The wine’s sugar content, acidity, PH, colour, tannin and bouquet depend on these factors, then oenological techniques are applied to this wine.

Oris-Falerio DOP

Bianco Doc del Piceno whose varietal characteristics are evident and fully represent our territory. The production area of this wine is in the hilly area of the province of Ascoli Piceno up to an altitude of 700 meters above sea level. The native vines, Pecorino and Passerina, excellently combined with Trebbiano, ennoble and characterize this wine to be consumed young. Pale straw yellow color with green hues that highlight its liveliness and freshness. Sweet aromas of pome fruit and white flowers; to the taste it expresses aromatic notes of warmth and freshness with pseudo-sweet perceptions.
