Our Story
A story of passion and harmony
Few places in the world rival the history, sights, sounds, tastes and people of Italia. Vino d’Italia founder John Vestri and his wife, Sue, were married in Siena, a city of passion and harmony. They explored their love of the culture and romance of Italy with their friend Mauro from Veneto, the home of Prosecco wine. The joy of discovery of the rich wine traditions spanning the country morphed into a business that today is Vino d’Italia Importers.
Over the past six years, we've partnered with 13 exceptional producers across 12 of Italy’s 20 wine regions, and in that time, the story of passion and harmony has only deepened. Our journey has been shaped by the meaningful relationships we've built with each winery. From the alpine charm of Friuli Venezia Giulia to the sun-drenched vineyards of Sicily, the warmth and hospitality of Italy’s wine community remain unmatched. At Vino d’Italia, we wholeheartedly encourage all of our customers - both direct and indirect - to spend time with one or more of our producers and experience firsthand the people and places behind the wines.
