The Seiterre Collection

The Rizzi family owns and operates the Seiterre firm, which encompasses nine wine estates sprinkled across historic northern Italy near Lake Garda. Luigino is the fourth generation of Rizzis to cultivate the vineyards, and this family legacy is part of what makes the Seiterre brand so special. Luigino and wife Sandra guide the process hands on from dawn till dusk as he believes “the wine is made in the vineyard.” The next generation is well ensconced in the business. Daughter and son, Anna and Roberto, manage different aspects of the sprawling business activities while son-in-law Carloalberto is the next generation winemaker.

Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG - Orizzonti

This extraordinary Amarone is born from love and knowledge of the land; with an elegant structure, among the prestigious hills of Valpolicella.

  • The selected, perfect, intact grapes are placed in special trays which then rest at least 100 days in ventilated rooms to achieve drying before pressing. A long fermentation on the skins follows, racking into large barrels and aging in barrique.

Barbera del Monferrato Superiore

Barbera del Monferrato Superiore DOCG is produced in the rolling hills of the Estate in Piedmont

  • The grapes are hand-picked in the early hours of the morning. The grapes are softly pressed to preserve the maximum aromas, organoleptic substances and typicality of the vine. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with controlled annealing, a passage for a few months in large barrels for at least one year

    Aroma: The nose is dominated by notes of ripe red fruit, with light spicy hints of white pepper and vanilla

Chiaretto di Bardolino DOC - Traditional

Prestigious and award-winning wine with a fresh taste

Bardolino Superiore-Montesalionze

Typical product born at the foot of Benaco in a morainic soil, on the windy hills of Tenuta San Leone

Custoza DOC - Traditional

This wine is a flowing, fresh and scented product of Verona which is very versatile in gastronomic combinations

This white produced south of Lake Garda has become the prince among the white Veronese, for its freshness and excellent ratio between salinity, acidity and alcohol

Trentodoc “Maso Bianco” - Trento DOC

Trento Doc is produced in the enchanting sunny Trentino valleys at the Maso Bianco, the historical site of the family

  • Cold fermented in stainless steel tanks and then re-fermented in bottles on its own yeasts for at least 36 months to enhance the elegance of this classic method. After the second fermentation, a process by which the classic perlage develops and that characterizes the classic method, remuage is carried out

Toscana Rosso IGT

Valpolicella Ripasso DOC - Orizzonti

Valpolicella Ripasso DOC – Orizzonti is born on the well-exposed and ventilated hills of Valpolicella, on limestone and clay soil at the Seiterre estate in Valpolicella in Mezzane di Sotto.

  • The grapes are harvested in the early morning, gently crushed and pressed, while fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. This is followed by the "Ripasso" technique, an ancient practice that involves "re-passing ," or "putting" the Valpolicella wine in contact with the Amarone and/or Recioto pomace, still steeped in wine, for about 15-20 days, during which a second alcoholic fermentation takes place.

The Toscana Vermentino IGT – Orizzonti is born in the warm Tuscan lands, in the Seiterre Estate in Maremma , on clayey soil with a typical ochre color that benefits from the nearby sea breeze.

Gigi Rizzi Collection - Sangiovese Toscana IGT “No. 2”

Sangiovese Toscana IGT is the result of a careful selection of Sangiovese grapes from one of the company's best vineyards, located on the  Seiterre estate in Maremma , in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, in an uncontaminated landscape.

Gigi Rizzi Collection - Vermentino Toscana IGT “No. 3”

Vermentino Toscana IGT is the result of a careful selection of grapes from one of the company's best vineyards, located on the Seiterre estate in Maremma , in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, in an uncontaminated landscape.

    Aroma: Aromatic profile perfectly in line with the characteristics of the grape variety, rich in floral notes of lime, acacia flowers and broom which slowly give way to a significant fruity component (pineapple, apple, peach, apricot) to close with delicate balsamic and spicy hints given by the maturation in barriques.

    Taste: On the palate, the sapidity/minerality and acidity are noteworthy, important components that give structure and balance, with a vegetal finish and bitter almond that strengthen the taste sensations.

Gigi Rizzi Collection - Piemonte Dolcetto DOC “No. 4”

“Collection N°04” is the fruit of a careful selection of Dolcetto grapes from the best vineyards of the Seiterre Estate in Monferrato (Piedmont), on the hills of Rocca Grimalda, which enjoy excellent exposure and temperature range.
