The Tenuta Carretta Collection

Tenuta Carretta is an 80-hectare estate rooted in the heart of Piedmont, with vineyards stretching across the hills of Roero and the Langhe, on either side of the Tanaro River. In Roero, just north of Alba, 35 hectares surround the winery's headquarters, while the remaining 45 hectares extend into the marly slopes of the Langhe to the south. These two distinct terroirs—Roero’s younger, sandier, and more permeable soils, and Langhe’s older, marly formations—shape wines with remarkable diversity and character. From fragrant, elegant expressions to structured, age-worthy bottles, the unique interplay of soil, climate, and limited yields define Tenuta Carretta’s approach to quality-driven viticulture in one of Italy’s most celebrated wine regions.

Cascina Bordino Barbaresco DOCG Riserva

The Cascina Bordino vineyards have a great vocation for quality wine-making, producing Nebbiolo grapes appropriate for long ageing on the skins. Il Palazzo Dolcetto D’Alba DOC Superiore

The grapes come from property vineyards grown on soils rich in limestone sands in Madonna di Como, a suitable area for the Dolcetto grape, located in the municipality of Alba. An ancient bishop’s palace once stood here, hence the wine’s name. In order to be classified as “Superiore”, the wine must be aged for 12 months.

Cayega Roero Arneis DOCG

Cayega is the present and the future of Tenuta Carretta: it is balanced, complex, structured and persistent. A great interpretation of the potential from a symbolic vine of the territory, expressed in a white wine perfect for every occasion.

Podio Podium Serrae Langhe DOC Nebbiolo

The value of the grapes from the Podio hill is already attested in the notarial deed of 1467, when the Count Damiano granted his land to his stewards for cultivation. He required that half of the grapes were to be property of the castle, but all of the grapes from Podio were reserved for the count (“salvo et riservato vites Podii Serrae”). This wine is elegant and balanced, with soft tannins.

Cereja Langhe DOC Rosato

In Piedmontese dialect, “cereja” is a greeting, both evocative and auspicious, a warm welcome. The wine is made of barbera and nebbiolo – with a few hours of maceration on the skins which contributes to its attractive onion-peel colour, and in the mouth, it is fresh, mineral, rich and pleasant.
